Brick Oven Bakery is the perfect place to meet with friends, get a coffee, and indulge in a fresh made pastry. In the back of the building you will see their incredible brick oven where all the breads are made. The staff can be seen making their sourdough from scratch in the back as well as layering butter into the layers of dough for their croissants and pastries. No matter what you order from Brick Oven Bakery it is guaranteed to be delicious.

Stonehome Brewing Company

Rusty Tractor Pizza with Bacon, Fig, Garlic Oil, Gorgonzola, Honey Drizzle

Located inside the First International Bank building you can find some of the best pizza in town at Stonehome Brewing Company. This is a great place for a business meeting or just a casual lunch. Beyond the pizza menu they also serve great apps, stromboli, and more. Of course this couldn’t be a brewing company without some craft brew! Their tap list is always changing so be sure to check out their website for a current tap list.

5 best eats in Bismarck, Verde Gnudi from Butterhorn
Verde Gnudi – Spinach Basil Gnudi, sundried pesto, black vinegar egg yolk, breadcrumbs

If you are looking for a more upscale place to dine then Butterhorn is the best place to go. Whether it’s for a formal dinner meeting or a fancy date night, Butterhorn gives you that upscale feel you’re looking for. You have to start your meal with an order of Butterhorns which give this restaurant its name. These soft, flaky rolls are sure to melt in your mouth. You can also experience the Butterhorns in another way as they are used to make their bread pudding as well. The Beet Israeli Couscous is a great meal if you are looking for something lighter. My favorite was the Verde Gnudi which was pillowy and soft and absolutely packed with flavor.

No matter what time of day you’re eating in the Bismarck-Mandan area you are sure to find an incredible meal you won’t forget. These 5 best eats in Bismarck are just a small sampling of the many locally owned, flavor packed places you can find in the area.
